Economistas de instituições financeiras melhoraram pela segunda vez seguida a expectativa para o crescimento da economia neste ano ao mesmo tempo em que reduziram as projeções para a inflação em 2017 e 2018, mantendo a perspectiva de manutenção do corte da taxa básica de juros neste mês na pesquisa Focus do Banco Central.
O levantamento divulgado nesta terça-feira (2) mostrou que a estimativa para a inflação este ano agora é de 4,03 por cento, recuo de 0,01 ponto percentual, na oitava redução seguida.
Para 2018, a expectativa para a alta do IPCA também mostrou menor pressão, pela quarta vez, chegando a 4,30 por cento, sobre 4,32 por cento antes.
Os especialistas consultados também passaram a ver um cenário melhor para a economia, ao elevarem a projeção para o crescimento do PIB (Produto Interno Bruto) em 2017 a 0,46 por cento, contra 0,43 por cento na semana anterior. Para 2018, houve manutenção da projeção de expansão em 2,5 por cento.
Em relação à política monetária, permanece a expectativa de novo corte de 1 ponto percentual na taxa Selic, atualmente em 11,25 por cento, na reunião de maio do Copom (Comitê de Política Monetária).
Também não sofreraram alterações as contas de que a taxa básica de juros terminará tanto este ano quanto o próximo em 8,5 por cento, mesma perspectiva vista pelo Top-5, grupo que reúne os que mais acertam as previsões.
