Segundo dados nacionais da Boa Vista SCPC, o número de cheques devolvidos (segunda devolução por falta de fundos) como proporção do total de cheques movimentados, atingiu 2,36% no acumulado do 1º semestre do ano, registrando o pior resultado da série histórica, iniciada em 2006.
No 1º semestre de 2016, os cheques devolvidos recuaram 5,3% em relação ao mesmo período do ano anterior. Tanto os cheques devolvidos de consumidores quanto os de empresas diminuíram no período, 6,8% e 1,7%, respectivamente. Na mesma base de comparação, os cheques movimentados contraíram 13,8%.
O gráfico 1 mostra os percentuais acumulados no 1º semestre de cada ano.
O percentual de cheques devolvidos sobre movimentados recuou em junho de 2016, ficando em 2,31% ante o resultado de 2,33% de maio de 2016. Em contrapartida, o indicador foi maior na comparação com junho do ano anterior, quando havia registrado 1,98%.
Os cheques devolvidos recuaram 5,5% na comparação mensal, enquanto os cheques movimentados diminuíram 4,3%, o que contribuiu para a queda do percentual no período.
O Indicador de Cheques Devolvidos da Boa Vista SCPC é a proporção de cheques devolvidos (2ª devolução por insuficiência de fundos) sobre o total de cheques movimentados, que é o total de cheques compensados somados aos devolvidos.
